Vogue x Snapchat: Augmented Reality Meets High Fashion at London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week has always been synonymous with pushing boundaries, and the Vogue x Snapchat: Redefining the Body exhibition took innovation to dazzling new heights. Located on Regent Street, the show was a mesmerizing fusion of fashion and technology, and I was thrilled to witness this groundbreaking experience firsthand.





The exhibition was an extraordinary blend of augmented reality (AR) and high fashion, bringing the designs of renowned fashion houses like Dior, Versace, Stella McCartney, and Richard Quinn to life in a whole new way. Using Snapchat’s AR technology, I could virtually “try on” outfits from these iconic designers. It was surreal to see their visionary creations fitted onto my body through the screen—an experience that felt futuristic and deeply immersive.




One of the standout aspects of the exhibition was how it democratized fashion. British Vogue’s Edward Enninful emphasized the importance of accessibility, and this collaboration delivered on that promise. The exhibition wasn’t just for those lucky enough to attend in person—Snapchatters from around the globe could join in and explore these AR designs remotely. It’s a powerful reminder that fashion can be inclusive and borderless, especially when paired with innovative technology.





The exhibition also featured custom AR lenses, which had already amassed over 48 million views globally during its debut. These lenses offered a playful yet sophisticated way to engage with the designs, blending creativity with cutting-edge tech.


A personal highlight for me was receiving a printed Vogue photo at the end. It added a tangible memento to a largely digital experience—a thoughtful touch that made the day even more memorable.



It’s worth noting that this show is the second iteration of Vogue x Snapchat’s collaboration, following its debut in Cannes in 2022. The London exhibit felt perfectly at home in a city celebrated for its trailblazing fashion scene.



Overall, this exhibition wasn’t just a feast for the eyes—it was a vision of fashion’s future. Combining artistry with AR, Vogue x Snapchat redefined how we interact with style, making it more engaging, inclusive, and innovative than ever before.
